• UM CMG - Neurosurgery's Dr. Khalid Kurtom and Team Complete Medical Mission to Jordan

    Dr. Kurtom’s team joined a group of over 70 other medical professionals providing high quality, culturally appropriate medical care to refugees and the local community, including performing neurosurgeries for the first time on a Syrian Americam Medical Society medical mission.

    Dr. Khalid Kurtom, along with his wife Delialah, a registered nurse, and three other members of his practice, will be heading to the Middle East in April to perform brain and spine surgeries as a member of a medical mission to Syrian refugees.

    The Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital at Easton will kick off its 33rd Annual Tree of Lights Campaign with a tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, November 22 at 4 p.m., in front of University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. Contributions this year will support the funding of a new Neurosurgery Micro Tray for UM Community Medical Group -- Neurosurgery.

    A new Medical Director has been named of the Birthing Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, announces William Huffner, MD, MBA, FACEP, FACHE, the organization’s chief medical officer and senior vice president of Medical Affairs. Aisha Siddiqui, MD, FACOG, local obstetrician and gynecologist, recently assumed the position, which provides medical direction of patient care at the Birthing Center, located at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.
